Vintage Vans Authentic Reverse Carved HP Glass Heraldic Coat of Arms Shield Pin

A vintage Vans Authentic reverse carved hp glass heraldic coat of arms shield Pin/Pendant.  This vintage pin/pendant consists of a gold-tone metal cross with rounded sprear like tips and a ribbed textured metal interior.  Prong set in the center is a large curved oval glass cab which is framed with a curved polished edge of glass with details highlighted in gilt.  The oval glass can has a design on the reverse that is hand painted on the interior of a crown and shield. Hues of soft blue, gold, silver and red decorate the interior.  The bale on the back of this piece allows it to hang on your favorite chain or with the pin back worn as a pin.  The pin/pendant is signed Vans Authentic on the back with the design number # 2426.  This helps date the piece no earlier than the 1960's. This pin has a condition issue with some loss of paint on the hand painted detailing on the back. This pin measures approx. 2-3/4" x 3".
