Vintage Elsa Schiaparelli Ruby Red Glass Earrings

Vintage Elsa Schiaparelli Ruby Red Glass Earrings feature striking oval cabochons in a rich ruby red hue, in a gold-tone metal setting. The backs of the stones showcase a checkerboard cut that enhances their brilliance. The clip backs are signed "Schiaparelli" for Elsa Schiaparelli and include design patent number 156452, issued in 1949 to Frederick W. Moulson and assigned to B.A. Ballou & Co, confirming their date of origin. These earrings have condition issues with back of the clips at the top have some wear to the gold tone metal also at the very top of the back setting, the edge of the thick glass has two tiny flea bite nicks in them.  The gold tone metal setting on the exterior is bright. These elegant clip earrings measure 0.73" wide by 0.94" high, embodying classic sophistication.
