Vintage French My Guardian Medals & Crucifix Travel Pouch
A vintage French My Guardian medals & crucifix travel pouch. A black plastic holder marked My Guardian unsnaps in the center and unfolds five red holders. The top inside cover has the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus with the Gospel of the Holy Name printed below. In the center is a two part black wood with silver tone metal wrapped around the back and arms of the crucifix marked France on the back. The crucifix is missing the INRI above it. The words "I am a Catholic In case of an accident kindly call a priest." This helps date the My Guardian pouch to circa 1950's when this wording was commonly used.The crucifix measures approx. 1-5/8" long. There are four aluminum medals with Latin verses of the Immaculate Mary, a Virgo Carmeli medal, St. Christopher medal, and St. Joseph with the baby Jesus. Each medal measures approx. 1/2" wide and is marked France on the back with the image of Jesus Sacred Heart. The My Guardian pouch measures approx. 2" wide x 2-1/4" when closed.
