Antique Victorian German 800 Silver Repousse Snail Shell Case Box

This exquisite 800 silver German repousse snail shell case box measures 2" wide x 1-1/2" high x 1" deep and weighs approx. 26.41 grams.  The bottom of the shell has a hinged lid that opens .  It once may have had a bale at the top. The base of the shell is stamped Germany and 800 for 800 silver.
