Antique Hobbs Glass Co Blue & Frosted Glass Ruffled Edge Dish 1875

The workmanship in this antique glass ruffled edge dish is evident the minute one lays they eyes on it.  Starting at the top your eye catches a gorgeous soft blue ruffled edge glass which tops a curved and embossed textured bowl in frosted glass with stipes on the sides leading to a base of prism spheres and graduated round beads of glass that create a prism in the center.

The antique bowl is marked with a patent date of August 9, 1875 giving this piece a date of no earlier than 1875. This Hobs Glass antique bowl has a condition issue with some rough spots on the bottom lip edge.  There are bubbles in the glass which was a part of it's manufacture.

This antique Hobbs Glass bowl  measures approx. 5-1/4" in diameter x 2-1/4" high.
