Italian "Orestes and Pylades" Two Men Pompeii Print on Wood Fratelli Alinari

An Italian print on wood backing from a Pompeii fresco with two men in robes one is a Greek hero Orestes with his companion Pylades.  In the play from Euripedes 5th Century that is  tilted "Iphigenia in Tauris" Orestes searches for his lost sister when the two men become held captive by the Taurian King Thoas.

The print is set on a light weight carved wood panel that has gilt edges and it captures the deails of the ancient Pompeii fresco.  The print on wood measures 13-1/4" x 17-1/4" x 1/4" thick. The back of the piece has a hanger at the top and a label states it was made by Fratelli Alinari and Made in Florence, Italy.

This piece has a condition issue with some scratches on the outside gilt edge.
