Antique Hermann Ohme Alice Hand Painted Tea Pot, Creamer & Double Handled Lidded Sugar
An antique Hermann Ohme Alice hand-painted teapot, creamer & double handled lidded sugar bowl. This Antique Hermann Ohme Silesia Alice hand painted signed by the artist tea or coffee set has hues of soft green, soft pink, red, white, and gold accents. The Hermann Ohme factory was in Silesia Germany and they imported blanks for hand painting in the United States. In the early 20th Century it was popular for women of leisure to hand paint white blanks from companies like Hermann Ohme. This particular set is signed by the artist M.J. Rochette. The Ohme Silesia mark on the bottom dates this set to no earlier than 1900-1920 when this mark was used. This antique set has a condition issue with a chip along the gold rim of the te pot and the sugar bowl has two places where a chip was repainted along the gold rim. The tea pot measures approx. 3-1/2" at the base, 5-3/4" from spout to handle, and 6" high. The creamer measures approx. 2-3/4" at the base, 3-1/2" x 3-3/4" from spout to handle. The double handled sugar measures approx. 4" at the base, 5-1/2" from handle to handle, and 4-1/4" high.
